Navarra: The Cradle of Garnacha
Navarra is the birthplace of the native Garnacha varietal and a leader in the Spanish market for Rosé wines. Its wines—white, rosé, and red—are celebrated for their freshness and authenticity, thanks to the region’s unique location in Northern Spain. Navarra also takes pride in its sustainability and renewable energy initiatives.
Winemaking in Navarra dates back to Roman times, with vineyards expanding over centuries to supply wine for the many churches along the Camino de Santiago (The Way of St. James).
Today, vineyards stretch from the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains to the Ebro River and Europe’s largest desert, Las Bardenas.
The region is divided into five sub-zones, each with distinct terroirs influenced by Atlantic, Continental, and Mediterranean climates, resulting in a diverse range of wine styles.
